Lieber Honored

Marilyn Lieber, retiring President and CEO of the Michigan Fitness Foundation (MFF) and Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports, was honored at a retirement reception on Thursday, June 26. Reading tributes from mayors, state legislators, agency directors and a U.S. senator, Marilyn’s friends, former colleagues and co-workers reminisced and celebrated her nearly two decades of accomplishment at the Michigan Fitness Foundation.

Marilyn’s last day as CEO and President was Friday, June 27, though she will continue as a consultant to the Foundation on specific projects, including writing a history of the organization.

The Foundation will be led by interim, co-CEO’s Diane Bauer, Vice-President of Finance and Marci Scott, Vice-President of Health Programs, while an Executive Committee conducts a search for Lieber’s permanent successor.
