Current CSAs
Michigan Farm to Family: CSA farms, markets, and organizations are found across the state. It’s easy to join and a great way to get healthy, fresh fruits and vegetables for your family while supporting your local farmers. When you sign up, you commit to weekly distributions called a CSA Share, which is a box filled with fresh fruits and veggies.
To get started, look for a participating CSA near you from the menu below. To join, some will ask that you sign up online, via email, or by adding the CSA share to their online shopping cart.

Allen Neighborhood Center is a dynamic community hub dedicated to improving the quality of life of Lansing residents. Their Veggie Box program offers sustainably-grown veggies, fruits, and food products sourced from mid-Michigan farms. Each box is carefully packed for members with the best in-season produce from local farmers and includes recipes and helpful prep tips, supporting a more committed and thoughtful relationship between food, land, and community. |

Argus Farm Stop is growing Ann Arbor’s local food ecosystem by sourcing vegetables, fruit, meats, dairy, and artisan foods from Michigan farmers and producers that use sustainable growing practices. Food grown locally is fresher than food shipped from a distance and produce is often picked the morning that it is delivered. They focus on seasonally grown items for your CSA share – like asparagus in the spring, berries in the summer, and paw paws in the fall. The CSA produce box will contain between 7 to 10 items each week. For example, one bunch of kale, a half-pound of spinach, 2 pounds of potatoes, a quart of apples, etc. |

Eighth Day Farm is an urban farm focused on bringing healthy, fresh grown Certified Naturally Grown fruits and vegetables free of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides to the community. Located in Holland near Michigan’s freshwater coast, Eighth Day Farm distributes fresh produce through their CSA, farmers markets and partnerships with community organizations. Their CSA provides a hefty harvest of veggies, enough to feed a family of four weekly and they distribute their CSA shares at the farm. Green Wagon is certified organic farm that uses no-till farming methods to build healthy soil and better serve the land. Growing their food on four acres outside and one acre inside, the farm is always seeking ways to better uphold the integrity of the water, soil, air, and plants under their care to best serve the people they feed. Green Wagon offers veggie CSA share subscriptions year-round (up to 50-weeks). Participants can select from three different CSA share sizes and customize their CSA shares from 20+ available fresh produce options each week. |

Lakeshore Depot is a hybrid grocery store and farmers market. Their weekly CSA provides fresh fruits and vegetables sourced from area farms (as much as possible). Each weekly CSA box will have a variety of six to ten types of freshly harvested fruits and vegetables – from familiar favorites to some that are less common. Lakeshore Depot looks forward to expanding the local food system with other farms and food businesses across the Upper Peninsula so their customers can eat more locally grown and produced food. |

Long Valley Farm is a small family-owned vegetable farm that offers high quality, naturally-grown produce without the use of chemicals or pesticides. In addition to building strong community ties, they are committed to providing safe, healthy, and delicious food, regardless of income. Long Valley Farm harvests CSA shares on or just before pick up day so that their freshest produce reaches tables as soon as possible. CSA members can expect at least five items in each weekly share, along with links to recipes and other helpful resources. |

The Farm Stand at Leila Arboretum offers a ‘farmer select’ CSA program. Instead of receiving a prepacked box of produce, members build their own box by shopping the weekly farm stand to select items up to their share amount. Produce varies throughout the growing season. Offerings include fruits and veggies such as leafy greens, green onions, kale, tomatoes, strawberries, summer and winter squash, melons, peas, carrots, radishes, beets, turnips, fresh herbs, and more. |

About
Michigan Farm to Family: CSA offers a customized approach to the traditional community supported agriculture (CSA) business model. This model makes it possible for families to purchase and consume more fresh fruits and vegetables and strengthen their local food systems using SNAP/EBT/Bridge Card as their form of payment. The program is made possible through a grant from the National Institute of Food and Agriculture and Gus Schumacher Nutrition Incentive Program. It is supported by Michigan Fitness Foundation’s SNAP-Ed team and partner nutrition educators, Michigan CSA farmers, non-profit community organizations, and grant match funding partners.
